About Matrix Club Berlin
Matrix Club Berlin is a large nightclub in Friedrichshain, set in ten listed brick vaults beneath the elevated U-Bahn station Warschauer Straße. The club, at Warschauer Platz 18, was founded in 1995 and moved into the vaults in autumn 1996. In the late 1990s it booked electronic DJs such as Marusha, WestBam, Sven Väth and Paul van Dyk and ran its own float at the Love Parade, and since 2003 the music has widened to hip hop, R&B, charts and dance classics.
Today Matrix opens every night of the year from 22:00, with up to five floors, including the Mainhall, Narva Hall, Studio Floor and Latin Floor, plus VIP lounges and table service. Weekend nights mix hip hop, house, afrobeats and reggaeton, with techno or melodic techno on the second floor. Matrix holds up to 2,500 guests, is run by Matrix Club & Event GmbH and is known as a filming location of the RTL II series Berlin Tag & Nacht.
