About Amnesia

Amnesia is on the Ibiza to San Antonio road at Km 5, near the village of San Rafael, in a former farmhouse in the middle of the island. It opened in 1976, when philosopher Antonio Escohotado leased the finca and started a discotheque with an open-air dancefloor, and 2026 is its 50th season. Today it is run by the Ibiza group NightEvolution, which also operates Cova Santa and the Pyramid brand.

The club has two main rooms. The Terrace began as the open-air dancefloor and was covered in 1991 with a glass roof that can open and close, so daylight still reaches the crowd at sunrise. The Main Room is the darker, enclosed room, known on the island for techno, and it runs a KV2 Audio sound system installed in 2022. The 2026 season included Pyramid, Metamorfosi, Glitterbox, Josh Baker's You&Me, NEXUP and the hard techno night Teletech, before a 50th Closing Festival on 10 October.

Minimum age is 18 with a valid original ID (national ID card, passport or driving licence); photos or copies are not accepted, and you need a ticket, VIP reservation or guest list place. Swimwear, flip-flops and sports team shirts are not allowed, and the VIP areas add no shorts, sportswear, tank tops, beachwear or caps. The door can refuse entry for dress code, security reasons or visible intoxication.
