About Wurzelfestival
Wurzelfestival returns to the Secret Forest at Niedergoersdorf from 3 to 6 June 2027, four days across ten floors. The full name translates as back to the roots, and the programme runs music alongside workshops, art and culture and a marketplace rather than stages alone.
Ten floors on a forest site in Brandenburg is a scale that only works because the organisers build the whole thing around camping, with a travel service, a cashless system, an official festival app and the SafeNow safety app all part of how the weekend runs.
Early bird tickets are sold through the festival’s own shop, and the organisers run an open application process for artists. Niedergoersdorf is in Brandenburg south west of Berlin, around 90 minutes by road, with Jueterbog the nearest town on the regional rail line. Early June in Brandenburg is mild at around 20 degrees. For a German forest music festival, Wurzelfestival is one of the biggest of its kind.
