Waves Open Air Closing (Hannover, Germany) 2027

Waves Open Air Closing runs on 4 September 2027 at the Spassbad Wedemark north of Hannover, marking the end of the German festival season with 12 hours of continuous programming on a single main stage. The organisers treat the closing as a deliberate counterpoint to their summer opening event, with the whole production focused on one floor rather than spread across the site.

The line up is already out and runs A to Z: 2HOT2PLAY, Arman John, Nicolas Julian, Nikolina, Schrotthagen, Vendex, Vivus and Zwilling. That is a bill drawn from the German hard techno circuit, several of whom also appear at the larger Waves Open Air in summer, and the single stage format means each gets a substantial slot rather than a 60 minute turn.

Tickets are sold through Paylogic and the festival runs its own app, Appic, carrying the timetable, artist favourites and a live function for finding friends on site. The venue sits at Am Freizeitpark in Wedemark: drivers take exit 52 from the A7 towards Mellendorf, and the S4 from Hannover main station stops at Mellendorf, 500 metres from the gate. It is the German music festival that closes the summer.
