Summer Campout (Gootchie (Queensland), Australia) 2027

Summer Campout runs at the Gootchie Creek Escape from 12 to 15 February 2027, four days in the Wide Bay region of Queensland. The site is at 138 Gootchie Road near Maryborough, inland from the Fraser Coast, and the Wizards Of Kingston run the event.

Gootchie is small farming country between Gympie and Maryborough, which is the right sort of place for a four day camping event: far enough from anywhere to run through the nights and close enough to the Bruce Highway to reach without difficulty. February in Queensland is the wet season, which shapes what the site needs.

Tickets are sold through Humanitix, which carries the full event information. Maryborough is the nearest town, around 30 minutes away, with Hervey Bay and the Fraser Island ferry an hour further on. Brisbane is three and a half hours south by road. Mid February in south east Queensland is hot and humid with afternoon storms, so wet weather camping kit is essential. For a Queensland bush music festival, this is a small one worth knowing about.
