CULTURE The Generation of Rave (Adelaide, Australia) 2026

Culture: The Generation of Rave returns to Bonython Park in Adelaide on Saturday 28 November 2026, running from 1pm to 11pm as the Wasteland Edition 2.0. The organisers position it as their end of year outdoor festival, which in South Australia means the start of the summer season rather than the end of anything.

Bonython Park sits on the Torrens just west of the Adelaide city centre, on Livestrong Pathway, which puts an outdoor festival within walking distance of the centre of town. That is unusual for an event of this size in Australia and makes the ten hour running time workable without shuttles or camping.

The Wasteland theme carries through the production, with the second edition under that heading following the first. Tickets are sold through Megatix. Adelaide is served directly from across Australia and from Singapore and Auckland, with the airport 15 minutes from the centre. Late November in South Australia is reliably hot and dry, which is why the local festival calendar concentrates between November and March. For a South Australian music festival, this is the one that opens the season.
