Madruga Festival (Hereford, United Kingdom) 2027

Madruga Festival returns to Baskerville Hall in Clyro from 23 to 27 July 2027, running an intimate mansion party in the Black Mountains on the Welsh border. The venue is a Victorian country house that Arthur Conan Doyle is said to have visited before writing The Hound of the Baskervilles, and the festival uses both the hall itself and the grounds around it rather than building a standard arena.

Capacity is deliberately low and the organisers describe it as a three day mansion party rather than a large scale weekender, with the full run covering arrival and departure days either side. Accommodation inside the hall is sold alongside camping, which is a rarity for a festival of this type and means a good part of the audience sleeps under the same roof as the dancefloors. The 2027 line up had not been announced at the time of writing. Clyro sits just outside Hay-on-Wye in Powys, about 25 miles from Hereford, which is the nearest railway station and the usual arrival point for anyone travelling without a car. For a house party atmosphere in a listed building rather than a field, Madruga is an unusual British music festival.
