About Coalesce Festival
Coalesce Festival returns to Abergavenny from 28 to 30 May 2027, three days over the late May bank holiday in Monmouthshire. The festival has run since at least 2018 and also stages a new year edition, which gives it two dates in the year.
Abergavenny sits at the eastern gateway to the Brecon Beacons, with the Black Mountains rising directly north of the town, which puts the festival in genuine upland country rather than parkland. Live sets from the festival, including Super Galactic Expansive and Monastic Squid, are published online.
Tickets are sold through Skiddle. Abergavenny is on the direct line from Cardiff at 40 minutes and Newport at 25, with Bristol two hours away and Cardiff Airport an hour and a quarter. Late May in south Wales is mild at around 17 degrees with long evenings. For a Welsh music festival over the bank holiday, Coalesce is the mountain one.
