About Maassilo

Maassilo is an event venue and club in a former grain silo on the Maashaven in Rotterdam-Zuid. The oldest part of the concrete silo was finished in 1911 with 128 silos holding 20,000 tonnes of grain, and the complex was extended in 1930 and 1951. After grain storage moved to newer parts of the port, the building became a nightlife and event venue in 2004, first used by the club Now&Wow. In March 2026 the City of Rotterdam sold the building to Maassilo/Now&Wow.

The venue is split into several halls that keep the silo's industrial details, such as hoists, silo hoppers and the old flywheels in the basement. Platform One is the largest hall at 1,100 m2 for up to 1,800 people, Platform Three holds 1,100 and Now&Wow, 40 metres up, holds 1,500. There is no fixed weekly club night: the programme runs event by event, from techno, hard techno, hardcore and drum and bass raves to house classics, afrobeats, concerts and business events.

Events are 18+. Maassilo does not allow caps, balaclavas or other face coverings, flashy gold or silver chains, shoulder bags, cartoon print sweaters, tracksuits, football shirts or sports shoes. Visibly intoxicated guests are refused, and perfume, liquids, food and drinks cannot be brought in.
