About Jimmy Woo

Jimmy Woo is a nightclub at Korte Leidsedwarsstraat 18, just off Leidseplein in central Amsterdam. It opened in December 2003, created by hospitality entrepreneur Casper Reinders, who furnished it with his collection of Chinese antiques as the club of a fictional owner, a Hong Kong businessman called Jimmy Woo, and kept the story going until after the opening. In June 2023 the club was sold to Joris Bakker and Pieter de Kroon, owners of the neighbouring Chicago Social Club, who run it with the events company Colored With Black.

The venue spans two floors and holds about 600 guests. A staircase leads past the cloakroom to the upstairs lounge, with an illuminated dancefloor, a bar and VIP tables, and a second staircase leads down to the club room, whose ceiling is covered with more than 12,000 lights. Both floors have a DJ booth. The week runs as MALOKO on Thursdays (18+), Please Don't Tell on Fridays and Behind Closed Doors on Saturdays (both 21+), under a dress to impress policy.
