About Kaschemme

Kaschemme is a small concert venue, nightclub, bar and garden in the Breite area of Basel, on Muttenzerweg near Lehenmattstrasse and the St. Jakob stadium. The club room holds 200 people and has an Avalon sound system, a modular 6 by 3 metre stage and a control desk for sound, light and video, next to a 100 square metre bar and a garden bar. The programme mixes drum and bass from the OFFSET crew, trance and electronic nights, disco, emo and ska concerts. In 2020 the team founded the association Uptown for music, art, culture and society, which runs a free Thursday DJ-Lab where new DJs can practise and learn. Bus 36 stops at Ulmenweg, and tram 14 from Stadion St. Jakob runs through the night on Fridays and Saturdays.
