About Plaza Klub

Plaza Klub is a club and concert venue at Badenerstrasse 109, on the corner of Badenerstrasse and Langstrasse in Zurich's Kreis 4. The building opened in February 1924 as the Kosmos Lichtspieltheater, Zurich's first cinema, designed by architect Ernst Zuppinger with a curved layout and a stage and orchestra pit for silent films. Plaza Kosmos AG took it over in September 2010 and turned it into an events venue, with the stage back where it stood in 1924. Today it has three spaces, the Saal, the Kosmos club and the Plaza Bar, with a KV2 Audio PA in the concert hall. The programme mixes touring live shows with weekly party nights, including the Thursday Nachtseminar and Plaze to Be on Fridays, playing hits, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats and house.
