About Mission Festival
Mission Festival returns to the Kantine Attisholz in Riedholz on 29 May 2027, on the old Attisholz cellulose works site outside Solothurn. The factory closed in 2008 and the area has become one of the most interesting cultural sites in Switzerland.
The Kantine was the works canteen and now runs as a venue, which gives Mission a site with industrial scale and a cheap enough footprint for an independent festival to use. The organisers have run the event for years, with recordings from the 2022 to 2026 editions circulating online.
Tickets are sold through Ticketcorner. Riedholz is five minutes from Solothurn, which sits on the direct line between Bern and Basel at 25 and 50 minutes respectively, with Basel and Zurich both within easy reach by rail. Late May in the Swiss midlands is mild at around 20 degrees. For a Swiss music festival on an industrial site, Mission is the one.
