About Polaris Festival
Polaris Festival runs across two weekends in Verbier, on 20 and 21 November and again on 27 and 28 November 2026. The Swiss resort sits at 1,500 metres in the Valais, and the festival uses the start of the ski season as its moment: the lifts are turning, the village is full and the venues are the ones that serve the mountain for the rest of the winter.
The organisers describe it as exceptional sound meeting immersive art and technology, and the production is the point of difference. Verbier is a small village, so the festival runs across its rooms rather than building a site, and the altitude and the setting do work that no city venue can replicate. Honey Dijon is among the names on the 2026 bill.
Polaris has run since the mid 2010s and publishes an official aftermovie for each edition. Verbier is reachable from Geneva in around two hours by road or by train to Le Chable and then the cable car, with Sion the nearest airport and Geneva the practical one for international visitors. Accommodation across the resort books out early for both weekends. For an alpine music festival, Polaris is the one that opens the season.
