Burning Mountain Festival (Zernez, Switzerland) 2027

Burning Mountain Festival runs from 24 to 27 June 2027 on the Praschitsch grounds at Zernez, in the Swiss canton of Graubunden. The site sits at roughly 1,500 metres in the Engadine, one of the highest inhabited valleys in Europe, with the campsite laid out along the river Inn and the arenas ringed by forest and peaks on every side.

The programme is psytrance led, covering progressive and full on material across four days, and the production is a large part of the draw: a Funktion One rig on the main floor, laser work, 3D mapping, fire installations and a central bonfire that the organisers treat as a fixture rather than a gimmick. Beyond the dancefloors the site carries workshops, a healing area, a kids area, a chill out stage with live music and a market.

The festival has run since 2011 and camping is included in every ticket, which keeps the weekend self contained at an altitude where day tripping makes little sense. Zernez is reachable by train from Zurich, Bern and Geneva via the Rhaetian Railway, and shuttle buses run between the village and the site through the long weekend.
