Anna Tur has put her name on a piece of trance history. The Ibiza-born DJ and producer has released an official remix of “I’m Alive”, the 2011 anthem by Paul Oakenfold and Infected Mushroom, out now on Oakenfold’s own Perfecto Records.

The original has held its place in the trance canon for well over a decade. Tur’s version keeps its spirit intact but rebuilds the track around the melodic, club-focused sound she has been carrying to some of the world’s biggest stages.

A Nod From Two Pioneers

Remix commissions like this one say a lot about where an artist stands. Paul Oakenfold is one of the most decorated names electronic music has produced, a multiple winner of the world’s best DJ title and the founder of Perfecto. Infected Mushroom shaped psychedelic trance on a worldwide scale and remain a reference point for the genre. That the label handed their shared classic to Anna Tur is a clear signal of confidence in her current run.

A Summer That Backs It Up

Her calendar tells the same story. This summer she plays five dates at UNVRS alongside Carl Cox, joins Meduza and James Hype at Hï Ibiza, and appears at Pacha with Mau P. Off the island her diary takes in Rave The Planet’s Love Parade in Berlin, Aquasella, Hafen 49 in Mannheim, World Club Dome in Frankfurt and Hive in Zürich.
