About Rave On Snow
Rave On Snow returns to Saalbach-Hinterglemm from 10 to 13 December 2026, the Austrian snow festival that has run since the 1990s and effectively invented the format. Four days of skiing and electronic music across the resort, with the programme spread between mountain huts, hotel venues and the valley floor.
The Hinterhag Alm is one of the regular stages, a mountain restaurant above the village reached by lift, which is the sort of venue that makes a snow festival different from a city one. Saalbach-Hinterglemm is one of the largest connected ski areas in Austria, with 270 kilometres of piste, so the daytime programme is as substantial as the night.
The festival publishes an official aftermovie for each edition and sells tickets with accommodation packages across the resort through its own site. Saalbach is around 90 minutes from Salzburg by road and two and a half hours from Munich, with transfers run during the season. Mid December opens the Austrian ski season, which means quieter slopes and lower accommodation prices than the Christmas weeks. For an Alpine snow music festival, Rave On Snow is the original.
