About
A breath of crisp autumn air will ripple through New York’s Greenpoint waterfront when We Belong Here launches its debut Brooklyn edition from October 3 to 5, 2025, unfolding against the industrial charm of the East River. This marks a bold expansion of the boutique music festival brand that captured hearts last year with its intimate Central Park debut, now inviting a wider audience into its immersive embrace.
Nestled under open skies and framed by cityscapes, this inaugural Brooklyn chapter brings dance music heavyweights to a 360-degree stage—Carl Cox, Elderbrook, and Gordo lead the lineup with soulful grooves and dynamic rhythms, while Sidepiece, Prospa, Tobiahs, and an unexpected DJ set from MGMT add depth, surprise, and genre-blurring moments to the program.
Just days later, from October 10 to 12, the festival returns to its second Central Park run at Wollman Rink, where last year’s sold-out weekend featured Monolink, Kaskade, and Fisher at the helm. This fall’s edition headlines will be Lane 8, Porter Robinson, and Nora En Pure, with support from names like Neil Frances (DJ set), Sultan + Shepard (DJ set), Wax Motif, VNSSA, Klingande, Nicky Elisabeth, Ax.el, Aleos, and a hybrid set from Sasha.
While the music pulses through open air and natural light, the festival’s heart continues to beat in its thoughtful design. Brooklyn will showcase its waterfront views alongside curated food experiences—smorgasburg making its long-awaited appearance adds a flavorful local touch—along with art installations, relaxing communal zones, and an overall environment crafted for connection beyond the dance floor.
We Belong Here isn’t just a festival series, but a movement: in its second year, it remains deeply committed to community growth and accessibility. The continuation of its scholarship initiative through Scratch Academy ensures that aspiring DJs gain opportunities regardless of background—so that every beat spun helps forge a more inclusive future for music.
In essence, We Belong Here 2025 is more than another date on the calendar—it’s a dual-city celebration of sound and belonging, where Brooklyn’s gritty waterfront meets Central Park’s open tranquility, both pulsing with curated lineups, sensory detail, and a welcoming spirit that feels as homegrown as the city itself.
