About Academy LA
Academy LA is a nightclub at 6021 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The address has a long dance music history: it was Qtopia, then Vanguard and then Create, before it was remodelled and relaunched as Academy LA in late 2017. The club has a large main floor, an upstairs VIP room and two patios, one indoor and one outdoor, with a capacity of around 1,000.
The room is built around production: a Funktion-One sound system, 55 moving lights, 145 customisable curved LED ceiling panels and CO2 cannons. Music is mainly big room, house, tech house and bass, with touring headliners on Fridays and Saturdays, such as Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki, AC Slater and Benny Benassi on the autumn 2026 calendar, and a Desert Hearts all-night-long with Justin Martin. Entry is 21+ with a dress code, and the club also rents out the space for private and corporate events.
