About Tropical Mountain (Schiffweiler (Landsweiler-Reden), Germany)
Tropical Mountain returns on Pentecost Saturday, 15 May 2027, at Auf der Alm on the Erlebnisort Reden site at Landsweiler-Reden near Schiffweiler in Saarland. Alm Events run it, alongside a calendar that includes the Eppelborner Fruehlingswiesn and the Merchweiler Oktoberfest.
Erlebnisort Reden is a former coal mine turned cultural and leisure site, which is typical of the Saarland: the region reinvented its industrial estate rather than demolishing it, and the festival inherits the scale that came with the pithead.
Advance sales run in strictly limited phases through the Alm Events shop, with the Blindes Huhn ticket rising in price as each phase sells out. Schiffweiler is 20 minutes from Saarbrucken by road, with Saarbrucken an hour and a half from Luxembourg and two from Frankfurt. Mid May in Saarland is mild at around 18 degrees, which is what makes the Pentecost date work. For a German regional music festival, Tropical Mountain is the Saarland one.
