The Great Beyond (Franklin, MN, USA) 2025

The Great Beyond Festival 2025 returns to the lush surroundings of the Minnesota River Valley Sanctuary and Retreat in Franklin, Minnesota, from Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27, inviting electronic music lovers into a remote and otherworldly celebration of cutting-edge sound and immersive nature. Spanning three full days and nights, this independent, community-rooted event has quickly built a reputation as one of North America’s most forward-thinking underground music festival.

Presented by Enemy Records and Intellephunk, The Great Beyond curates a boundary-defying lineup of techno, experimental electronics, and live performance, featuring over 100 artists across multiple stages that blend seamlessly into the natural environment. The 2025 edition welcomes a jaw-dropping array of talent, including Planetary Assault Systems (Live), Wata Igarashi x Rrose (Hybrid set), Eris Drew, Rene Wise, Mary Yuzovskaya, Takaaki Itoh, and the legendary Sandwell District. With rare live performances from acts like Lonefront, Marijuana Deathsquads, and Erik Luebs, the festival pushes sonic experimentation into uncharted territory.

Set within a forested sanctuary with open skies and meditative spaces, The Great Beyond pairs hypnotic dancefloors with introspective experiences, visual art installations, and holistic workshops. This is not just a party—it’s a convergence of music, consciousness, and community. From dusk-till-dawn techno sets to ambient explorations at sunrise, every moment is intentionally crafted.

The Great Beyond is also home to a deep local scene: names like Centrific, TML (Live), livwutang, DJ Hockey, and dozens more artists from across the Midwest and beyond reflect the diversity and depth of the North American underground.

With limited capacity, off-grid vibes, and a passionate community spirit, The Great Beyond 2025 offers an intimate yet world-class experience for those seeking more than just a music festival.
