Tag am Meer Festival (Prora (Ruegen), Germany) 2027

Tag am Meer Festival returns to the beach at Prora on the island of Ruegen on 16 and 17 July 2027, bringing two days of open air electronic music to the Baltic coast. The event is staged by the Landjugendverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the state rural youth association, which has run it as a non commercial project for more than a decade. The setting is the strand at Prora, a stretch of white sand backed by pine woods on Ruegen’s eastern shore.

The format is straightforward: a main stage on the beach, a camping area and a crowd that mixes festival regulars with summer holidaymakers already on the island. Previous editions have been documented in the festival’s own aftermovies, filmed on the sand with the Baltic directly behind the stage. The 2027 artist list had not been published at the time of writing, and the organisers have said tickets go on sale from November.

Prora sits between Binz and Sassnitz and is reachable by regional train to Prora Ost or by car across the Ruegen bridge from Stralsund. The festival guide on the official site covers arrival, camping and catering, and the association also runs an application route for artists who want to play. For anyone planning a northern German summer, this is a beach music festival with a genuinely unusual backdrop.
