About Freshtival Weekend
Freshtival Weekend returns to Enschede from 14 to 16 May 2027, the Dutch Pentecost weekend. Absolutely Fresh produce it and sell it as the ultimate friends weekender close to home, which is an honest description of what the format is.
Pentecost gives the Netherlands a three day weekend in the middle of May, and the festivals that take it have the first properly warm outdoor dates of the year. Absolutely Fresh have run Freshtival since at least 2017, publishing a film for each edition.
Tickets are sold through the festival’s own ticket shop. Enschede is two hours from Amsterdam by direct train and 40 minutes from Munster in Germany, which pulls a cross border crowd, with Dusseldorf and Amsterdam both practical arrival airports. Mid May in the eastern Netherlands is mild at around 17 degrees with long evenings. For a Dutch weekender music festival over Pentecost, Freshtival is the eastern one.
