Ferdinands Feld (Rotenburg (Wumme), Germany) 2027

Ferdinands Feld returns to the airfield at Rotenburg an der Wuemme on 30 and 31 July 2027, running two days of electronic music on the apron and grass of a working regional aerodrome in Lower Saxony. The aviation theme runs through everything the festival does, from the boarding language on its ticket pages to the app it calls a flight guide, and the flat open site gives the stages the kind of sightlines that a field rarely offers.

The programming leans hard dance. Hardstyle has been central to the festival since its early editions and sits alongside techno and mainstream electronic bookings across the stages, with official aftermovies going back more than a decade on the festival’s own channel. The 2027 artist list was being published in stages at the time of writing.

Camping runs alongside the airfield for both nights and payment on site is entirely cashless, topped up through the festival app, which also carries the timetable, the site map and an information chat. Rotenburg sits midway between Bremen and Hamburg, roughly 50 minutes from either by regional train, which makes it one of the more accessible festival sites in northern Germany. For hardstyle on a runway, it is a distinctive German music festival.
