Circle of Leaves (Oberzent, Germany) 2027

Circle of Leaves returns to the Odenwald near Oberzent from 6 to 8 August 2027, running three days of electronic music in forest in southern Hesse. The festival is organised as a registered association rather than a company, and its stated subjects are art, music, nature and food, which is reflected in a site built around clearings and tree cover instead of open ground.

The musical programme covers electronic music broadly, with the organisers curating rather than chasing headliners and the resulting bill leaning towards melodic techno and house. Alongside the stages there is a workshop programme with open applications, market stalls and a volunteer scheme. Tickets for 2027 went on sale before the bill, which the festival publishes later in the spring.

Oberzent sits in the Odenwald hills between Darmstadt and Heidelberg, around an hour from Frankfurt by road and reachable by regional train and bus for anyone travelling without a car. The organisers publish arrival information and a full FAQ on the official site. The 2027 line up had not been announced at the time of writing. For a small forest music festival within reach of the Rhine-Main area, it is one of the most convenient options.
