Awakenings is the Dutch organisation behind some of the largest techno productions in Europe. According to its official site, the first Awakenings night was held at the Gashouder in Amsterdam in 1997, and the brand has now been organising techno events for more than 25 years, including indoor shows at the Gashouder and Ziggo Dome, a programme during Amsterdam Dance Event, the Upclose festival and its flagship open-air weekend, Awakenings Festival. The organisers describe the three-day event as the highlight of the European techno calendar, with 80,000 visitors from over 80 countries and more than 120 artists spread across eight areas.

Awakenings Festival 2027 takes place from Friday 9 July to Sunday 11 July 2027 in Hilvarenbeek, in the province of North Brabant, with the site open from 15:00 to 23:00 each day. The official event page currently lists only Hilvarenbeek as the location; previous editions have used the Beekse Bergen grounds. Tickets are already on sale through the official Awakenings shop, and fans can build a wishlist for early access to the sale. Camping information for 2027 is published alongside the event listing. No line-up has been announced yet.

Visitors can expect the format Awakenings is known for: large open-air areas and giant tent structures, heavy investment in stage design and production, and a bill that covers the techno spectrum from established headliners to newer names.
