Amphoria (Kevelaer, Germany) 2027

Amphoria returns to the Schwarzer Bruch in Kevelaer on 28 August 2027, running a one day open air techno festival on the Lower Rhine. The format is fixed and the organisers state it plainly: one day, two stages, 20 DJs, 4,000 guests and 12 hours of music, from 2pm until 2am. The site is a wooded area on the edge of town rather than a purpose built arena.

The two stages have distinct jobs. Stage 0, the Forest Stage, is the main floor at the edge of the woods, with thousands in front of it and lasers over the crowd. The Local Party Stage is reserved for the Lower Rhine scene, with the organisers noting that most of the artists who play it were standing in front of it a year earlier. The 2026 bill featured Felix Kroecher, Pretty Pink, Thomas Schumacher, Klaudia Gawlas, Drumcomplex, Karla Blum, Frank Sonic and Chrissy Jeey.

Supporter tickets for 2027 were limited to 500 and sold first, with VIP options following: a Lounge package with a covered tent, seating, its own bar and premium toilets, and a Rooftop Lounge on the upper deck of a double decker tent with food and drinks included. Tickets are sold online and as hard tickets at the Herr Lehmann restaurant on Gelderner Strasse in Kevelaer, with the box office opening at 1:30pm if the event has not sold out. It is a compact German music festival that knows exactly what it is.
