About Solace

Solace is a cocktail bar and electronic music venue at 21-25 Croft Alley, one of the laneways of Melbourne's Chinatown in the CBD. It took over the former Croft site, and the team describes it as a space serving the city's electronic music and bar communities, with a focus on sound, drinks and hospitality. The bar opens from Tuesday to Saturday, with late licence to 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. It does not take reservations, and walk-ins are welcome. Nights are run by Solace and by local promoters and labels, and the club lists its programme on Resident Advisor. Solace also runs Solace Bar Radio on SoundCloud and YouTube, and marked its first year with a birthday shirt naming the artists and promoters it hosted.
