About New Guernica

New Guernica is a nightclub at 64 Smith Street in Collingwood, Melbourne, run by Famous Four Pty Ltd. It grew out of Club F4, which opened in 2001, and New Guernica itself launched in 2009 in the same CBD space before moving to its current Smith Street home. The venue spreads over three levels with four dancefloors, including an upstairs late night bar and the Collingwood Basement, a micro-club underneath with a Funktion-One sound system, no phones, no set times and 100 tickets per event. Guerns Thursday has run weekly for more than 17 years, with vocal house through to techno across up to three rooms, while Fridays host the +ONE global dance music series and Saturdays the e. queer club night. All events are run by outside promoters rather than in-house bookers.
