About Patterns

Patterns is a nightclub, bar and live music venue at 10 Marine Parade on the Brighton seafront, less than 200 yards from Brighton Pier. It opened in 2015 on the former site of an art deco hotel that previously housed Ted Potters Music Bar and the Escape Club, and it is owned by Mothership Group, which also runs Queen of Hoxton, TBC and Colours Hoxton in London. The venue holds 400 people across two spaces: the Ground Floor, with a hand-built DJ booth and a custom Ohm PA, and the Basement, built for dancing and gigs on an L-Acoustics system. A south-facing terrace hosts free Saturday terrace parties with resident DJs in summer.

Club nights run on Fridays and Saturdays until 4am, with programming across house, techno, jungle, drum and bass and UK garage. Memory Box has held a Brighton residency there for ten years, and autumn 2026 dates include James Zabiela for Memory Box, all day long sets from Dusky and George FitzGerald, Sexy Lady Massive and Lens. Patterns is also an official venue of The Great Escape festival.
