About Concorde 2

Concorde 2 is a live music venue and nightclub on Madeira Drive, on Brighton's seafront below Marine Parade in Kemptown. It occupies Madeira Shelter Hall, a listed Victorian building at the foot of the Madeira Lift that served as tea rooms in the 1800s, a bikers' cafe in the 1960s and an amusement arcade in the 1970s. It opened as Concorde 2 in 1999, and the venue says its life as a music venue started with Fatboy Slim taking to the stage. Wikipedia gives its capacity as about 600, all standing, and the venue works as a two-room space.

The programme splits between early evening gigs and club nights from 11pm. Autumn 2026 club dates include drum and bass and jungle nights such as Kanine, Born On Road and Culture Shock, Moody Disco parties, Day Fever daytime parties, a John Digweed night and a State of Us night with HAAi. Club nights are strictly 18+, there is no dress code, and the venue is accredited by the Good Night Out Campaign.
