About Index

Index is a large discotheque at Industriestraße 10 in Schüttorf, Lower Saxony, in an industrial estate near the Schüttorf motorway junction and the Dutch border. Brothers Holger, Klaus and Wilfried Bösch opened it on 4 November 1988 on about 1,200 m², and it has since grown to around 5,000 m² with many bars. The areas each have their own music: the Mainhall with a mix of styles, Clubdisco for urban sounds, Orange for dancehall, reggaeton and Latin, Goldfisch for tech house and techno, the Panic Room for harder styles and the Schlagerküche for Schlager. The Salitos Ice Bar, kept at minus seven degrees since 2006, has had an ice bobsleigh run since 2012, and the Sommergarten has a swimming pool and a climbing wall. Index opens on Fridays and Saturdays and runs a Discobus from nearby towns.
