About Gabriela

Gabriela is a small dance club and cocktail bar at 90 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, opened in December 2023 by DJ Eli Escobar and Rafael Ohayon. The interior draws on houses in Morocco, where Ohayon is from: a winding staircase leads to an upstairs lounge, and the dancefloor sits behind a niche shaped like a mihrab. The lower level has about 1,000 square feet with banquettes, a bar and the sound system, and the 700 square foot mezzanine seats up to 40 people with a second bar. DJs play deep house, disco and R&B, and Time Out New York named Gabriela its best new nightlife venue of 2024. The club opens Thursday to Saturday from 9pm and has no guest list.
