About Florida 135
Florida 135 is a techno club on Camino Sotet in Fraga, Aragon, by the Cinca river, run by the Arnau family, whose Florida cinema in the town dates from 1942. The family added a dance hall to the cinema and opened a discotheque in 1973, rebuilt it within 30 days after a fire in 1976, and in 1985 designer Xavier Regàs turned it into Florida 135, styled as a Bronx street after the films Blade Runner and West Side Story, with the DJ booth in the middle of the stage. The club joined the Ruta del Bakalao scene in the early 1990s and has focused on house and techno since, with guests such as Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills and Sven Väth. The Arnau family also created the Monegros Desert Festival and elrow.
