About Nitsa

Nitsa is the Friday and Saturday electronic club night inside Sala Apolo, a dance hall on Carrer Nou de la Rambla in Poble-sec, on Barcelona's Avinguda del Paral·lel. The club started in 1993 in a small room with low ceilings and a revolving dancefloor, where resident DJ Sideral (Aleix Vergés) built its name, and moved to Apolo in September 1996. Apolo itself opened as a dance hall in 1943.

Nitsa takes the main hall, where the balconies are open to everyone, while its sister night Astin runs in La (2), a second room of about 800 capacity that was renovated for Apolo's 75th anniversary in 2018. The music is techno, house, electro and disco, and past guests include Aphex Twin, Carl Craig, Todd Terry, Autechre and Ellen Allien, alongside local DJs DJ Fra, Marc Piñol and DJ Kosmos. On some nights the two rooms are connected on one ticket.
