All About Damla Tek

Born and raised in Izmir, Turkey, Damla Tek began DJing in 2013 at the city’s pioneering club, 1888. In the years that followed, she steadily built her career, sharing her music with diverse audiences at clubs and events across Izmir, Istanbul, Berlin, Munich, Cyprus, Amsterdam, Bodrum and beyond.

She has played in many festivals as Sónar Istanbul, ADE shared the stage with artists including Charlotte De Witte, Gerd Janson, Kölsch, CEM, SALOME, Cora Novoa, LOVEFOXY, Apparat, Stef Mendesidis, Detroit In Effect, Spencer Parker, Beste Hira, &ME, Bob Moses, Moritz Hofbauer, David Mayer, 8Kays, The Echonomist and many more. She usually appears in the mix through house, acid house, breakbeat, electro and raw/deep techno.

In 2019, Damla Tek expanded her artistic path into music production and vocal work. Influenced by a wide variety of sounds since childhood, she developed a deep connection to genres such as electronic music, psychedelic rock, indie rock, post-punk, garage and folk as well as musical cultures spanning Turkish, Azerbaijani, Eastern, German, Detroit and UK sounds. Throughout her musical journey, both in her DJ sets and in the studio, she has embraced blending the many influences she has absorbed over the years.

With a strong interest in writing in both Turkish and English, she writes the lyrics for her own productions and also performs the vocals herself.

After many years of producing, she released her first single “Confessions” on 20 March 2026 via Barcelona-based imprint Petra Recordings. The release also features a remix by Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Beste Hira.
