About Yamamori Tengu

Yamamori Tengu is a basement club at 37 Great Strand Street in Dublin 1, set in a room at the back of the Yamamori Japanese restaurant. It has run since 2012 and has become one of the main hubs for underground electronic music in Ireland. The formula is simple: red lights, haze, a Funktion-One sound system, a Night-Time Monitor team and its dancing plants. Programming supports local artists and collectives and has brought guests such as Ben UFO, CCL, Octo Octa, Polygonia, Anz and Calibre. After lockdown the club launched an in-house residency series with Irish acts including Sally C, Or:la, Spray, Sunil Sharpe, Ngoni and Dylan Fogarty, and a Soundsystem Sunday series with Rub A Dub HiFi. It also hosts jazz nights and won the Soundest Venue award from Safe Gigs Ireland in 2024.
