About Button Factory
Button Factory is a music venue and club on Curved Street in Temple Bar, Dublin. It opened in 1996 as the Temple Bar Music Centre and took its current name in 2007 after a refurbishment, a reference to the building's past as a button factory. The venue runs three spaces: the Main Room, a 550 capacity black box with an L-Acoustics sound system and a balcony with 50 unreserved seats; Curveball, an 80 to 150 capacity room; and Crowbar, a public bar opened in 2013.
Early evenings are mostly live gigs, and club nights run late at weekends. Since October 2021 the Centre Point club has run at the venue on Friday and Saturday from 11pm to 3am, with a music policy of house, techno and other electronic music. In 2026 the venue marks 30 years with its BF30 series, including a Modeselektor DJ set on 6 November. Button Factory won IMRO's Dublin Venue of the Year award in 2025, and all events are strictly 18+.
