Electric Picnic (Stradbally, Ireland) 2027

Electric Picnic returns to Stradbally Hall in County Laois from 27 to 29 August 2027, running Ireland’s largest gathering of music and arts across a weekend in the grounds of a Georgian estate. The festival has been staged there since 2004 and is promoted by Festival Republic, and it has grown into the defining end of summer event on the Irish calendar. Tickets for the 2027 edition had already sold out at the time of writing.

The programme spreads well beyond music into art, theatre, comedy, food and holistic health, with named areas that have developed their own followings: An Chollchoill, the Hazelwood, carries its own line up, Fishtown runs an immersive village format, Croi sits at the heart of the site and Glow Depot is a late night city built in the woods. Little Picnic covers children’s programming across the weekend.

The organisers publish an anti tout guide given how quickly tickets move on the resale market, and run Electric Picnic Lounge passes as an upgrade on general admission. Stradbally sits around 80 kilometres south west of Dublin, with coaches running from the city and other towns across the weekend. The 2027 bill had not been published at the time of writing. It is the Irish music festival that everything else is measured against.
