About Else

Else is an open air club at An den Treptowers 10 in Alt-Treptow, Berlin, on the edge of Treptower Park beside the Elsenbrücke and directly at Treptower Park S-Bahn station. It opened in 2013 as an offshoot of the club Renate, and both venues are run by Else Event GmbH. The garden dancefloor is framed by stacked shipping containers around a large tree under an open steel frame, and the venue also has an indoor dancefloor, backstage rooms and bars set into the containers.

The music is mainly house and techno, with day to night parties that often start in the afternoon and run through the night. Else works as a summer venue: the season runs from spring to September, and the 2026 season ended with closing parties on 18 and 19 September, one of them with DJ Koze. Events and tickets are sold through Resident Advisor. Else publishes an awareness policy, and its staff take part in regular anti-discrimination workshops.
