About Factory 251

Factory 251, also known as FAC251 or Factory, is a nightclub at 112-118 Princess Street in Manchester city centre, in the building that became the headquarters of Factory Records in 1990. The label, founded in 1978 by Tony Wilson and Alan Erasmus, had Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays on its roster, and its headquarters carried the catalogue number FAC 251. In early 2010 Peter Hook, working with the Haçienda's original interior designer Ben Kelly and the sound company Funktion-One, reopened the building as a club. Today it runs as three clubs in one with Funktion-One sound: hip hop and R&B on the ground floor, indie and party anthems on the middle floor, and UK garage, house and bass on the top floor. It is best known for big student nights and also hosts live shows.
