Beate Uwe is a club for electronic dance music at Schillingstraße 31 in Berlin-Mitte, and the club says its name is pronounced "be you". It describes itself as a dance venue, bar and living room for a mixed crowd, and the whole club is on the ground floor with step-free access to every room. The weekly pattern has three fixed nights: KollektivNacht on Fridays with changing collectives, Beate Invites on Saturdays with showcases from record labels and artist collectives focused on house and its groovier subgenres, and Beate Barfuß on Sundays, where guests dance in socks or barefoot on carpets to downtempo. The first slot of the Saturday and Sunday nights is kept for newcomer DJs, and some Thursdays add live music, workshops or jam sessions.
