About The Belasco
The Belasco is a music venue in a 1926 theatre at 1050 South Hill Street, on the corner of 11th and Hill in Downtown Los Angeles. The Churrigueresque building was commissioned by the oil businessman Edward L. Doheny and designed by Morgan, Walls & Clements, and it served as a playhouse, a cinema and later a church before standing empty for years. It reopened as a music venue in March 2011, and Live Nation has operated it since 2020. The venue has several rooms: the Chapel main hall with a balcony, the Chamber bar in the downstairs annex, the Confessional and the Sanctuary VIP lounge upstairs. Its calendar mixes touring bands, comedy and hip hop with DJ nights in the Confessional such as CTRL+J Download the Dancefloor.
