Rockstar Energy presents Creamfields continues to raise the bar as it celebrates two decades at its Daresbury home, with Dutch trance DJ/Producer Armin van Buuren confirmed as the first artist announced for the 30,000 capacity Apex Stage on Saturday 29th August Bank Holiday weekend.
Few artists have defined dance music like Armin. Across an illustrious career, the Grammy-nominated artist has become a global ambassador for the scene, topping the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs a record-breaking five times, co-founding the world’s leading independent dance label Armada Music, and uniting millions each week with his long-running radio show A State of Trance.
From sold-out arena tours to commanding the main stage at the world’s biggest festivals, Armin‘s euphoric, high-energy sets have become the stuff of legend. This week, his impact on electronic music was honoured with DJ Mag’s 2025 Outstanding Contribution Award, cementing his status as one of the genre’s true pioneers.
A long-time Creamfields favourite, known for delivering unforgettable performances over the years, he returns next summer after a two-year hiatus. With Calvin Harris, Sonny Fodera and Underworld already announced, this first wave of acts signals the start of an unmissable Creamfields 2026 with plenty more still to be announced.
