Matrixx at the Park (Nijmegen, Netherlands) 2027

Matrixx at the Park takes over the Hunnerpark in Nijmegen from 17 to 23 July 2027, running seven consecutive days of free entry programming during the city’s Vierdaagsefeesten. The festival is the outdoor arm of Matrixx, the Nijmegen venue and promoter, and it has been a fixture of the Four Days Marches week for well over a decade. Admission costs nothing across the whole run, which is unusual for an event of this length and billing.

Daily sets generally start in the early evening and run to half past midnight, with the Sunday opening earlier in the afternoon and the closing day going on until one in the morning. The bill mixes Dutch DJs with live acts and is published per day in alphabetical order rather than as a headliner pyramid. Matrixx also programmes two other sites during the same week, Matrixx Live aan de Kade and Rade aan de Kade, so the park show sits inside a wider city wide week of events.

The Hunnerpark sits just east of Nijmegen centre, within walking distance of the station and the Waal riverfront. Because entry is free there is no ticket to book, and the organisers push line up news through their Instagram channel rather than a conventional announcement cycle. For a week when the whole city is already outdoors, it is a free music festival that needs no planning beyond showing up.
