About KUNE Festival
KUNE Festival returns to Ungdomsoen from 28 July to 1 August 2027, spreading five days of music and art across an island in Copenhagen harbour. The site is a former sea fort turned youth centre, and the festival uses it as found: concrete caverns, historic fortifications and open ground with Nordic sea views on every side. Getting there means a boat, which sets the tone before anything starts.
The programming sits at the intersection of art, music and nature rather than running a conventional headline bill, and the organisers describe it as locally rooted but deliberately boundary pushing. Stages carry names drawn from the island, with the Vessel Stage and Space Stage both in use at recent editions. Nadia Struiwigh, Martinou and Martin Gillesho were among the 2025 performers, and a festival documentary and archive are published on the official site.
Tickets are sold through the festival’s own partner and the organisers run an open volunteer programme alongside them. Ungdomsoen lies off Refshaleoen in the eastern part of the harbour, reached by ferry from central Copenhagen in around 20 minutes, so the city itself is the obvious base. The 2027 line up had not been published at the time of writing. For five days on an island rather than in a field, it is one of the more unusual Nordic music festival options.
