About Kingdance
Kingdance returns to Zwolle on 26 and 27 April 2027, two days over the Dutch King’s Day weekend. High Energy Events produce it, and the festival has grown into the largest King’s Day event in the east of the country.
The programme spreads across multiple areas including a dedicated techno area, which the organisers film separately for the recap, so the festival covers hard dance and techno rather than a single sound. Official aftermovies exist for the 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions.
Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. Zwolle is an hour from Amsterdam and 40 minutes from Utrecht by direct train, with Schiphol the arrival airport for anyone flying in, and the city is a rail hub for the whole north east of the Netherlands. Late April in Overijssel is mild at around 14 degrees, which is why King’s Day works as an outdoor date. For a Dutch King’s Day music festival, Kingdance is the eastern one.
