About WORLD KYOTO

WORLD KYOTO is a nightclub in the basement of the Imagium building on Nishikiyamachi in central Kyoto, just north of Shijo. It is one minute's walk from exit 1 of Hankyu Kawaramachi station. It opened near Shijo Kiyamachi in 2001 and has grown into one of Kyoto's largest clubs, with a capacity of 1,000, marking its 25th anniversary in 2026. The main room, WORLD, has hosted Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Fatboy Slim, Richie Hawtin, Yellow Claw and W&W alongside top Japanese DJs. Other spaces include BARSEX for hip hop and J-pop, the music bar POP with free entry, and FUJIYAMA. Weekly nights include WORLD WEDNESDAY and KYOTO INTERNATIONAL FRIDAY, and ALAN SHIRAHAMA of GENERATIONS holds a monthly residency called NOISE PARADE. Entry is strictly 20 and over with photo ID.
