About Østre
Østre is a venue for electronic music and experimental sound art at Østre Skostredet 3 in central Bergen. It is owned and run by Foreningen Ekko, the volunteer organisation behind the Ekko concert series and the Ekko festival. Across the year it hosts concerts, club nights, exhibitions and sound installations, and the house has project rooms, a bar, a production studio and a concert hall on the second floor. The programme is built with local collectives and partners such as BEK, Borealis and Vill Vill Vest, with all-night DJ sets, the Klubb Diaspora series and the Ekko festival, whose 23rd edition runs from 29 October to 1 November 2026. House rules ask guests not to photograph other people and to keep phone use to a minimum.
