Trotamundo Festival (Montañita, Ecuador) 2027

Trotamundo Festival returns to Montañita on Ecuador’s Pacific coast from 6 to 12 January 2027 for seven days and nights of music. Created by the Un_mute collective and Lost Beach Club, with Un_mute leading the musical curation, the event is spread across several locations in the surf town and centred on Lost Beach Club, which is currently ranked number 28 in DJ Mag’s list of the world’s top clubs.

The first edition ran from 4 to 8 January 2024, followed by editions in January 2025 and January 2026, which makes 2027 the fourth outing. The organisers bill this multi-day music festival as one of South America’s most distinctive underground gatherings, built around long marathon sets, sunset and sunrise sessions and the Funktion-One sound systems that Lost Beach Club is known for. The crowd mixes travellers, surfers and dancers from around the world, drawn by a setting where beach, jungle and town meet.

Past line-ups show the festival’s direction. The 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions featured names such as Dana Ruh, Dyed Soundorom, Franco Cinelli, D’Julz, Daniel Bell, Dandy Jack, Gene On Earth and Binh. The 2027 line-up has not been announced yet.

All Access passes cover every Trotamundo event from 6 to 12 January 2027, with prices rising as each phase sells out; Resident Advisor lists the current pass at $150. Daily tickets will only be sold at the door during the festival, subject to availability. The organisers point out that the All Access pass is the best value for anyone planning to stay more than a couple of days. The minimum age listed for the event is 21.
